S. M. Keramat Ali is the Director (Media) of Bangladesh Open University, Gazipur. He was the Chief Sound Recording Engineer (CC) in Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC). He is also the faculty of Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. S. M. Keramat Ali completed his Diploma in Film Specialization in Sound Recording & Sound Engineering in 1996 from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, India. He has also completed his B.Sc. Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1985. He got award as a Sound Recording Engineer from Best First Film of the Director, 97, lndia for the film YEH OH SHAHAR TO NEHI, Director: S. RAO and also got award from DANKAN International Film Festival, CANS, France 1993 as a Sound Recording Engineer for the Film “CHAKA" Director: Murshedul Islam. Keramat Ali is also the Sound Recording Engineer of the renowned film MATIR MOYNA" Director: Tarek Masud.
