Moyukh Bary


Katib Ul Bary Moyukh (known as Moyukh Bary) is a Bangladeshi filmmaker and editor with over 14 years of experience in the television and film industry. He has had the privilege of editing and shaping over 500 productions, including TV fictions, short films, TV shows, reality shows, trailers, promotional videos, and documentaries.

Moyukh made his directorial debut with the telefilm Photoshoot in 2015, which won the Best Editing award at the “Charuneedam Kahinichitra Purushkar 2015.” Since then, he has continued to tell impactful stories through works like Ayna Rohoshya (2016) and Uchhotoro Hishabbigyan (2017).

Currently, he serves as a lecturer at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute and as an adjunct faculty member at BCTI (Bangladesh Cinema and Television Institute). He previously worked at Maasranga Television, where he was a video editor from 2012 to 2017 and later served as Digital Content Manager from 2017 to 2022.

Moyukh has also worked as a filmmaking trainer and team leader for the project "University Film Making Contest on Biodiversity Conservation," organized by USAID (United States Agency for International Development) in October 2015. Additionally, he served as a video editing trainer for the "IUB Special Academic Research Project 2015: Film-making and Television Journalism for Peace and Tolerance in Bangladesh," organized by the University of California San Diego (UCSD) in June 2015.

In 2024, he participated in the 4-month "PostPro Talent Lab" workshop organized by the World Bank, aimed at advancing post-production skills in Bangladesh. Led by mentors Steve M. Choe (Korea), HAN Myung-hwan (Korea), and Chai Yee Wei (Singapore), this program deepened his expertise in film editing, color grading, and sound design.

In 2023, he worked as the film editor for the Chorki Original Film Punormilone, which received critical acclaim and earned him a nomination for Best Editing in the Critics' Choice category at the Chorki Carnival 2023, further fueling his passion for the art of filmmaking.
